About me
Me ...
Born in Santa Monica, schooled in England and Germany. Studied at TUM to earn my MS in Physics.
Living the good life in Munich, I used my standard 6 weeks vacation time to travel all over the world.
Returned to the US in the late 80's; living now in New York and contemplating the next (location) move.
Electronics was my first hobby and I still like to dabble with micro controllers and subscribe to Robot Magazine. Once personal computers were available - and I in college - I bought my first personal computer - a Commodore Pet 2001; soon upgraded to an Apple II. I used an Apple Lisa for data analysis in my thesis (research about γ-γ angular correlations on metal hybrids), then switched to PC's and stayed with them until a few years ago when I bought a Mac book Pro and some Mac Mini's for my home (still running Windows XP in Parallels for some apps though...).
I build applications during the years in a multitude of languages (Basic, C, C++, Pascal, Prolog, Lisp, Java, Perl, PHP) and currently focus on standard compliant Web applications coded mostly in a combination of PHP, XHTML and JavaScript (with a lot of help from JQuery for all the cool special effects...).
I am a member of Mensa and managed to keep the title of chessmaster in my highschool for 3 consecutive years.
I am father to a beautiful daughter Isabella and a young handsome boy Hugo.
